Some say online dating is not for real. That virtual romance cannot lead to long-term happiness. Wrong. The first couple to meet online have just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. The byte babes were Chris Dunn and Pam Jensen who used the CompuServe CB Simulator programme that allowed subscribers to send messages to each other's PCs - the first edition of a chatroom.
Dunn, now 51, was hooked as soon as he logged on. Jensen, 56, used the service at a party and stayed online for 5 hours chatting to fellow subscribers.
After months of communicating, Jensen from Chicago invited over New Yorker Dunn. A year later they married.
