Po raz pierwszy w Jazz Cafe POSK wybitny polski pianista jazzowy Mateusz Kołakowski, goszczący w Londynie na zaproszenie Polskiego Instytutu Kultury, w programie znanych i lubianych standartów jazzowych. Mimo młodego wieku Mateusz ma za sobą wielkie osiągnięcia muzyczne jak np. koncerty w najlepszych klubach jazzowych Ameryki, udział w festiwalu jazzowym w Monreaux czy nagroda dla najciekawszego pianisty na festiwalu Solar w Paryżu. W środku karnawału zapraszamy na koncert bluesowej grupy "The Commandments" w programie opartym na najsłynniejszych przebojach takich artystów jak James Brown, Otis Reading, Wilson Picket, The Blues Brothers i innych. Będzie to wieczór i do słuchania i do tańca, a pragniemy przypomnieć, że karnawal w tym roku jest wyjatkowo krótki.

For the first time in our cafe an excellent Polish pianist Mateusz Kolakowski, who is visiting London by invitation of The Polish Cultural Institute, performs a selection of jazz standards. Despite his young age, Mateusz has remarkable achievements in the field of jazz including an extensive tour of the most prestigious jazz venues in US, an honourable mention in the Montreux Jazz Festival Piano Competition 2002 and prize for "most promising pianist" in the Martial Solal competition in Paris. Come along and enjoy the music of the most up-and-coming jazz pianist that Poland has to offer.

For the lovers of blues and soul we have invited a 7-piece blues band, 'The Commandments' with a rich programme of soul and Rhythm’n’Blues. Their repertoire covers artists as diverse as James Brown, Otis Reading, Wilson Picket, The Blues Brothers, The Commitments, Bill Haley and the Comets, Cliff Bennett and the Rebel Rousers, Sam and Dave, Al Green etc. This is going to be our hottest night of the year with music to listen to and dance.
