Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz was one of Poland's cultural creators. Spanning many media, pre-war Witkiewicz ended his life dramatically a day after Stalin invaded Poland in 1939 but left a "witkacy" legacy and a very odd thing happened after his death. Find out what that was as we speak with Witkacy fan Kevin Hayes. Kevin also talks about his experiences of working in theatre in Communist Poland and in free Poland after 1989 and reflects on his hilarious Polish TV weather forecasts - well, what else would you hire an Englishman to talk about? Kingsley offers us his take on Poles in the press. George Matlock and Fine Art Skupienski host. London Bridge is on Sunday, May 16 on Hayes FM 91.8 and ORLA.fm at 9pm (22:00 CET) and on ORLA.fm on Monday, May 17 at 8pm (21:00 CET). Available as REPLAY for two weeks.
