Agnieszka Radwanska, the older sibling of tennis player Urszula Radwanska, will meet U.S. tennis star Venus Williams, seeded number 3, in the quarter finals at the Wimbledon Championships. Agnieszka is seeded 11th at the Wimbledon Championships. She defeated María José Martínez Sánchez in the first round and had to go to three sets to defeat Peng Shuai in the second round. Radwanska then defeated number 19 Li Na in the third round. Today she defeated Melanie Oudin of the United States in the fourth round, 6-4 7-5.

On 24 May 2008, Agnieszka became the first Polish female tennis player to surpass US$1 million in career prize money.
